Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro launches customer survey

Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro wants to hear from you.

The utility is preparing to file a rate application with the Ontario Energy Board to set rates for the period 2020 to 2024, and is reaching out to customers to find out if the plans it has made for that period meet the needs and preferences of its customers.

“Our goal is to get as much feedback from our customers as possible and use it to feed our business plans and objectives for the future,” says Jerry Van Ooteghem, President and CEO, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro.

Innovative Research Group, a marketing research company, is conducting the online and telephone survey between October 12 and November 11 on behalf of Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro. The survey will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete, depending on how much detail respondents provide.

“We’re working hard to be more open and transparent to help customers understand what it takes to keep the lights on in Kitchener and Wilmot Township, and to make business decisions that matter to them,” says Jerry Van Ooteghem, President and CEO, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro. “This survey is an important part of that process.”

To help drive participation in the survey, customers who complete the online survey will be entered in a draw to win one of five $100 on-bill credits. “It’s our way of saying thanks,” says Van Ooteghem.

“We really hope customers will take the time to share their thoughts,” he adds. “Not all decisions will be popular, but they may be necessary. We are committed to making sure our customers understand the factors that go into our business decisions, and how we’re taking their priorities into consideration.”
