Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro's Scorecard

Developed by the Ontario Energy BoardKitchener-Wilmot Hydro's Scorecard measures how well we are performing each year.

The Scorecard is designed to encourage all electricity distributors in Ontario to operate effectively, continually seek ways to improve productivity, and focus on improvements that our customers value. All electricity distributors report their Scorecard performance results annually, and make the results available to the public.

The Scorecard includes traditional metrics for assessing Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro's services, such as frequency of power outages, financial performance, and costs per customer.

In 2020, we are proud to have exceeded industry targets for all Scorecard categories. Of note, in 2020, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro:

  • Achieved the 7th lowest total cost per customer out of 59 electricity distributors in Ontario;
  • Maintained a Cost Control Efficiency Assessment rating of two (2) out of five, where one (1) is the most efficient and five (5) is the least efficient, for the eighth consecutive year since the measure was introduced in 2012. This means our actual costs are 10 to 25 per cent below predicted costs;
  • Improved service quality levels over our 2019 performance in key services such as residential/small business services connected on time and first contact resolution.

Overall, we are proud of the work our employees do day in and day out to provide exemplary service to our customers, and congratulate them on their achievements.
