Emergency Preparedness

Warmer weather conditions create the possibility of thunderstorms and high winds which can become severe or dangerous very quickly, often with little or no warning. Weather conditions are not the only emergency your family should be prepared for.

We've collaborated with Waterloo Region Emergency Management, regional municipalities and neighbouring utilities to bring you a series of resources, tips and information to keep your family safe through several emergency scenarios.

The Region of Waterloo has also introduced Alert Waterloo Region, a voluntary subscription service that will notify residents during local emergencies such as severe weather, large-scale power outages, floods, and more. Subscribe today to get alerts of these emergencies through your choice of phone, text, or email.
