Electrical Safety Authority
The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is an independent, non-profit organization that works to reduce the number of electricity-related injuries in Ontario. The ESA works with electrical utilities across the province to share safety messages and resources.
Some of their activities include:
- Identifying leading causes of electrical risk;
- Raising awareness, educating and training in electrical safety;
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations;
- Investigating fatalities, injuries and fire losses associated with electricity;
- Engaging with stakeholders to improve safety.
The ESA has a series of resources to help customers identify potential safety hazards.
