Where Your Payment Goes

Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro is responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to your home. You are billed for this service on the amount of electricity that your home uses, expressed in kilowatt hours (kWh). The average home in Ontario uses 750 kWh each month.

Your Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro bill includes our charges for the delivery of electricity, as well as other charges that we pass on to other provincial organizations. Our portion of the bill is roughly 20% of the charges presented. Below is a breakdown of where your bill payment goes.
